The local SEO plan

Local SEO: earn the three spots under the map

Five hundred dollars a month, and every month you know what was done and where you stand. Your Google Business Profile, your listings, your city pages and your reviews, worked on together, because Google scores them together.

Sounds familiar?

  • Competitors fill the map and you do not
  • Different phone numbers listed around the web
  • Reviews sit unanswered
  • Service pages with no city on them

Who gets the three spots under the map?

Google scores three things: relevance, distance and prominence. Pick your trade and town, then switch the work on and off. Each switch is something one of our services does.

An illustration with made-up businesses and fixed scores, so you can see how the factors interact. It does not measure any real search; your real baseline is measured when we start.

Relevance Does your profile and website say you do this, here?
Distance How far you are from the searcher. You cannot move, but you can define where you qualify.
Prominence How well known you are: reviews, listings, activity.
  1. 1 A sample rooferComplete profile, steady reviews, listings tidy. 68/100
  2. 2 Another rooferGood reviews, no city pages, quiet profile. 54/100
  3. 3 A third rooferCategory set, a few old reviews, listings disagree. 41/100
  4. Below the map: everyone else 4 A fourth rooferClaimed profile, nothing else done. 30/100
  5. 5 Your businessSwitch the factors on and watch. 30/100

Position 5, below the map. Switch on the prominence factors and watch the order change.

Each switch is covered by a service: Google Business Profile management, On-page local SEO and city pages, Reputation and review flow, Citations and NAP cleanup.

What local seo plan is, and what it costs

When someone in your town types "plumber near me" or "roofing company Tyler TX", Google shows a map with three businesses first. Those three get most of the calls. Google picks them on three things: relevance (does your profile say you do this), distance (how close you are to the searcher) and prominence (how well known you are: reviews, listings, links, an active profile). Try the local pack simulator above and watch which factors move a business into the pack.

The local SEO plan is the work on all three. Relevance: categories, services and city pages that say exactly what you do and where. Distance you cannot move, but a complete service area and a page per city you serve widens where you qualify. Prominence: consistent listings, steady reviews with replies, and a profile that posts every week. It pairs the Google Business Profile management, the reputation and review flow and the on-page local SEO into one plan with one report.

Some pieces are one-time jobs and are priced that way. On-page SEO, a full audit and optimisation of your existing site, is $1,000, with city pages at $200 each. Citations and NAP cleanup, listings on 80+ directories with a name, address and phone audit, is $400. Both are included in the plan over time; buy them alone if you only need the fix.

Local SEO works best on a site that loads fast and reads clearly. If yours does not, our sister brand AWC Web Design builds and rebuilds websites at published prices, and we hand you over without a sales call.

In plain English

What it consists of, what you get, how it is measured

How we measure it

The numbers in your report

  • Google Business Profile insights: views, calls, direction requests, website clicks
  • Review count, average rating and reply rate
  • Listing consistency: how many directories show the same name, address and phone

How it works

From a short call to a plain-English report

A short call

Fifteen minutes on what you do, where you want calls from and what your profile and listings look like today. No pitch deck.

A baseline report

Where you rank on a grid across your service area, how complete your profile is, how consistent your listings are. Written down before any work starts.

The work, every month

Profile posts, listing fixes, review replies, city pages. You see each change in a monthly list.

The numbers, in plain English

A monthly report: the rank grid, profile views, calls, direction requests, reviews and replies, next to the baseline.

Questions

Local SEO plan: common questions

What does local SEO cost?

Local SEO is $500 a month. One-time pieces are priced separately: on-page SEO $1,000 (city pages $200 each), citations and NAP cleanup $400.

How long until local SEO works?

Changes to your profile and listings show up within weeks; movement on the map usually takes a few months of steady work. The monthly rank grid shows the trend from your baseline, so you are never guessing.

Can you promise a ranking?

No one can honestly promise a position on Google. What we commit to is the work in the list above, done every month, and a report that shows you exactly where you stand.

Do I need a new website for local SEO to work?

Not always. If your site loads fast and has a page per service, the plan works on it. If it is slow or has one page for everything, we will say so, and our sister brand AWC Web Design can rebuild it at a published price.
