Citations and NAP cleanup
Citations and NAP cleanup: one name, one address, one phone, everywhere
Google trusts a business whose name, address and phone read the same on every directory. Most do not: an old suite number here, a cell phone there, "LLC" on one listing and not the next. For $400, once, we find every mismatch and fix it.
Sounds familiar?
- You moved or changed your number
- Two Google profiles for one business
- A directory still shows the old owner
- Different spellings of the business name around the web
Try it: name, address, phone
Do your listings agree with each other?
Type your business as it appears in three places. The checker normalises what search engines treat as equal (St and Street, Suite and Ste, LLC or not, phone punctuation) and shows what is left: the real mismatches.
An illustration of the comparison, run in your browser. The sample is a made-up business; nothing you type leaves this page.
| Field | Result | What search engines compare |
|---|---|---|
| Name | MismatchA real difference: at least one listing says something else. This is a citation mismatch and it costs trust until it is fixed. |

| Address | MismatchA real difference: at least one listing says something else. This is a citation mismatch and it costs trust until it is fixed. |

| Phone | MismatchA real difference: at least one listing says something else. This is a citation mismatch and it costs trust until it is fixed. |

3 real mismatches: this is what the citation audit lists and the cleanup fixes.
What citations and nap cleanup is, and what it costs
A citation is any place on the web that lists your business name, address and phone number: Google, Apple Maps, Bing, Yelp, Facebook, the Yellow Pages, trade directories, the chamber of commerce. When they agree, Google is confident about who you are and where; when they disagree, that confidence drops, and so does your prominence on the map. Try the NAP consistency checker above with your own listings and see what Google sees.
The job has two halves. The audit: we pull how you appear on your website, your Google profile and the major directories, normalise them the way search engines do (Street and St, Suite and Ste, LLC or not, phone formats) and list every real mismatch. The cleanup: we correct the listings we can reach, claim the ones that are unclaimed, build the missing ones on 80 or more directories, and give you the login and record for each.
Citations are a one-time fix with lasting value, which is why they are priced once at $400 and included over time in the local SEO plan. They matter most when a business has moved, changed its phone or its name, or inherited listings from a previous owner.

Citations and NAP cleanup: common questions
What does citation building cost?
